Community Outreach Programs
Giving back to our community is an important aspect of the Estero Encore Club. While we are primarily a social club that offers many opportunities to develop friendships, we are also an organization of generous women who desire to support our Scholarship Fund. Since 2017 we have awarded $2,000 scholarships to deserving young women from Estero High School. We raise money through silent auctions, gift basket and gift card raffles, and an incredibly fun trivia night. To date we have awarded scholarships to 12 remarkable young women. Because of our members’ generosity, this year we are proud to award three recipients' scholarships of $2000.
We hold a Holiday Giving Tree.
Members select a child and provide the items
on their gift wish list. We typically support
80-100 children in Foster Care during the Holidays.
Each summer we collect school
supplies for The Heights Foundation,
supporting students in the Fort Myers Harlem
Heights neighborhood.
We also support Blessings in a Backpack
which collects nonperishable food for local
school children to take home over the weekend.
We collect personal Hygiene products for
our local Ronald McDonald House, and other local charities.
We have aided our local communities devasted during hurricane season. These are some examples of how we achieve part of our mission statement, "... and offer ways to give back to that community."
